Sport Clubs

What is a Sport Club?

A sport club is a group of students (also faculty and staff) organized voluntarily for the purpose of furthering their common interest in a sport through participation and competition. Participation in sport clubs is meant to be a learning experience for members through their involvement in fundraising, public relations, organization, administration, budgeting, and scheduling, as well as the development of skills in their particular sport.

Why Sport Clubs?

The sport club program is designed to serve individual interests in different sports. Students have the opportunity to engage in an in-depth sports experience that is not otherwise available through recreational programs, Clubs participate in intercollegiate competition and conduct interclub activities such as practice, instruction, social, and tournament play.

Who can join a Sport Club?

Membership is limited to University of Idaho full or part-time students, staff, and faculty only. All students, faculty, and staff desiring membership in a sport club must have a valid University of Idaho identification card.
